One of the nice elements of the Breda Jazz Festival is the Duo Special.
Two musicians who never shared the stage before are unexpectedly put together to create spontanious improvised music on the spot.
This one was extra special, since it was done live on television.
Upon entering the studio, Eiji Hanaoka had no idea with whom he would be teamed up.
Mr. Hanaoke is one of the regular star soloists on the Breda Jazz Festival, in 2022 being present for the 25th time.
Bert Brandsma is founder and bandleader of one of the Marching Bands that cross the streets during the festival, of which you never can predict when and where they will show up!
